Before You Book

What is your cancellation policy?

A 30% deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Reservations may be cancelled up to 90 days before arrival for a refund of your deposit, subject to our booking terms. We also recommend purchasing travel insurance for additional peace of mind.

Is there a minimum stay?

Casa Del Sol generally requires a seven-night stay during high season, with arrivals and departures on Saturdays. During the quieter summer months, shorter stays may be available.

Casa Perros Afortunados offers more flexibility depending on the season.

Please check the availability calendar for your preferred travel dates.

How do I book directly?

Simply visit the page for your preferred villa and click Check Availability. You'll see available dates, pricing, and can complete your reservation securely online.

Booking directly means you'll enjoy the same secure payment options without the additional service fees charged by many booking platforms.

Getting Here

Where are your villas located?

Both Casa Del Sol and Casa Perros Afortunados are located in beautiful Puerto Morelos, a charming seaside village just 20 minutes south of Cancun International Airport.

Casa Del Sol enjoys a beachfront location approximately a 10–12 minute walk from the town square, while Casa Perros Afortunados is just a short stroll from both the beach and the heart of town.

Do we need a rental car?

Not necessarily.

One of the things guests love most about Puerto Morelos is how walkable it is. Restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, shops, and the beach are all easily accessible from both villas.

If you plan to explore destinations such as Tulum, Chichén Itzá, or Valladolid, renting a car can be convenient, although many guests choose private transportation for day trips instead.

Can you recommend airport transportation?

Absolutely.

We're happy to recommend reliable local transportation providers who know Puerto Morelos well and offer comfortable, pre-arranged airport transfers. We strongly recommend arranging transportation before your arrival for the smoothest start to your vacation.

During Your Stay

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is 11:00 AM.

Whenever possible we're happy to accommodate early arrivals or late departures, but because our calendar is often full we cannot guarantee flexibility. If needed, we're usually able to arrange luggage storage so you can continue enjoying Puerto Morelos before heading to the airport.

Will we receive a guest guide?

Absolutely.

Before your arrival you'll receive access to our comprehensive digital guest guide, filled with everything you'll need before and during your stay—from arrival information and property details to restaurant recommendations, local attractions, grocery stores, and insider tips for making the most of your vacation.

Best of all, it's completely searchable, making it easy to find exactly what you're looking for.

Is housekeeping included?

Yes.

Both villas include professional cleaning before your arrival and after your departure. For longer stays, a mid-stay light housekeeping service is also provided.

Our local property management team is available throughout your stay should you need any assistance.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes.

Both villas offer complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property so you can easily stay connected, stream your favourite shows, or work remotely if needed.

Amenities

What is provided during our stay?

Both villas include the everyday essentials you'll need, including bath towels, beach towels, linens, hand soap, paper products, and kitchen basics. Reverse-osmosis drinking water is available at both homes, so there's no need to purchase bottled water.

Each property page also includes a detailed amenities list.

Do you provide baby equipment?

Yes.

Both villas include a Pack 'n Play, high chair, and stroller for families travelling with young children.

Can we arrange a private chef or other experiences?

Absolutely.

Whether you're interested in a private chef, airport transportation, snorkeling excursions, cenote tours, in-villa massages, yoga sessions, fishing charters, or other local experiences, we're happy to connect you with trusted local providers to help make your vacation even more memorable.

Are pets allowed?

Casa Perros Afortunados welcomes one small, well-behaved dog with prior approval.

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at Casa Del Sol.

Exploring Puerto Morelos

Is Puerto Morelos the right destination for us?

If you're looking for nightlife, mega-resorts, and busy tourist districts, Puerto Morelos may not be the perfect fit.

But if you're dreaming of quiet beaches, locally owned restaurants, authentic Mexican charm, calm Caribbean waters, and a relaxed pace of life, we think you'll fall in love with Puerto Morelos—just as we did.

Is the Beach Swimmable Year-Round?

Absolutely. One of Puerto Morelos' greatest natural advantages is the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, located just offshore. The reef helps protect the shoreline from large waves, creating calm, shallow waters that are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking throughout the year.

Like much of the Caribbean and Riviera Maya, Puerto Morelos can experience seasonal sargassum (seaweed). The amount varies from week to week—and sometimes even day to day—so unfortunately no one can predict or guarantee beach conditions.

The good news is that Casa Del Sol is well prepared. We have an excellent offshore sargassum barrier, the municipality regularly cleans the beach with tractors throughout the day, and our own team works hard each morning to keep the beachfront as clean and enjoyable as possible.

You may also notice seagrass on the ocean floor when you enter the water. This is completely natural and is not sargassum. Because Puerto Morelos is a protected National Marine Park, seagrass plays an important role in the local marine ecosystem and helps support the incredible reef and sea life that make this area so special.

While nature always has the final say, we're fortunate that Puerto Morelos is often in better condition than many neighbouring destinations, thanks to the protection offered by the reef and the ongoing efforts to manage the shoreline.

Is Puerto Morelos Safe?

Yes. Puerto Morelos is widely regarded as one of the safest and most welcoming communities on the Riviera Maya. Unlike larger resort cities, it's a small, walkable seaside town where visitors and locals naturally mix in restaurants, cafés, shops, and along the waterfront.

Guests regularly stroll through town during the day and enjoy dinner, live music, and evening walks after sunset. As with travel anywhere in the world, we recommend using normal common sense—keeping valuables secure, being aware of your surroundings, and taking the same precautions you would in any unfamiliar destination.

One of the things we hear most often from first-time visitors is how friendly and relaxed Puerto Morelos feels. Many guests arrive planning a single visit and leave already talking about their next one.
